For over 20 years, April Grigsby has been working as an artist in one form or another. After graduating from the Columbus College of Art & Design, she has worked as a ceramic artist creating one of a kind porcelain and stoneware pottery, as a commercial artist doing layout and illustration work for the advertising industry and now, for the past 7 years as a faux finisher, muralist and color consultant working in S.E. Florida. April enjoys working with designers and homeowners alike. Her portfolio includes outstanding faux finishes which range from delicate glazes & old world venetian plasters to exotic textures and faux stone finishes like marble, sandstone and granite. Along with her faux finishes, April's formal training as a fine artist and on the job experience as an illustrator has enabled her to create many beautiful murals for her clients. April's favorite subject matter is nature and animals although she continually welcomes working with other subject matter. It is often times the challenge of doing something new that is most inspiring and rewarding! April received a BFA degree and graduated with honors from the Columbus     College of Art & Design in 1983 In 2006, April attended Designer walls I & II at the headquarters of the  industry leader Faux Effects  International, where she received special training in using their full line of non toxic water based products.
